“ Waitress was very kind and courteous! Restaurant was very clean. Food came out pretty quick and tasted great! ”
“ Their food is good, and the owner is friendly and even put in a pull-up railing for my mom to make it easier to get into the larger dining area. I personally like and recommend the hibachi salmon plate, steak bowl medium rare, broccoli and mushrooms bowl, their wings, the Philadelphia Roll, the Dragon Scale Roll, and the clear soup in particular, and my husband really likes the crispy chicken plate too. Sometimes their service is better than other times depending on who is waiting tables that day, but they have always been nice overall regardless. Their lunch prices are good also. ”
“ First time here. I'm not one for sushi, but my daughter was impressed. I ordered filet and shrimp. It was very tender and tasty. Employee was knowledgeable and very polite and helpful. It's in a little strip so you could pass it without seeing it. But now that we've found it, we will be back. ”
“ So happy we do not have to drive 50 miles to eat Japanese food. Our food was delicious. The service was outstanding. We highly recommend dining here. ”
“ This is the best place to eat in Elizabeth town.Well worth the drive. ”
“ Really wonderful restaurant with great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Absolutely delicious sushi that has very generous servings. ”
“ I have came to this establishment about 4 times. And every time I came, the food was very good and a reasonable price. The waitresses are always nice and polite, and this time the owner spoke with me, and he is a nice gentleman and very polite. I have tried the teriyaki chicken, hibachi chicken, and a veggie bowl. All three were delicious but my favorite is the teriyaki chicken. Can't go wrong for a meal and dr.pepper under 11.00. Give them a try you won't be disappointed ”
“ A Nice Little Surprise In A Tiny Little Town. I've lived in the area for going on ten years now and I've watched my favorite Chinese restaurant change from a great buffet to just a barely passable take-out place. That is not Tokyo Bistro. Tokyo Bistro is a Japanese restaurant tucked away on Poplar street. It's kind of easy to miss if you're not looking. I have to say, I've eaten a LOT of sushi over the years. I've eaten sushi at a lot of different places from upscale restaurants, to all you can eat, to even gas station or super market sushi. Very little sushi is "bad" sushi. However, Tokyo Bistro makes some of the best sushi I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. They are exceptionally reasonably priced, too. They make an incredible octopus sashimi. Their eel roll is nothing short of amazing. I will never not order an eel roll when I go there. I have enjoyed every roll I've ordered there, but the octopus and eel roll truly stand out to me. They make pretty good hibachi if you're into that sort of thing. I think they do a fantastic job with nearly everything I've tried. My only real complaint is that the gyoza is incredibly over priced. I do not like the idea of paying more than one dollar PER gyoza. I do not think the quality matches the price or the quantity, but my wife would most certainly disagree. The sushi chef is talented and I take a great deal of pleasure watching him create art. I take off a few points in the atmosphere category because the place is a little run down, they play the radio too loud in the dining room (and it's always country), and it's just a tad bit cramped. I prefer to sit at the "bar" and watch my sushi be made, but it's not terribly roomy enough to enjoy it without feeling like I'm impeding the flow of traffic in the building. My recommendation? Take your spouse or significant other and order the sushi boat. It's a fun experience and doesn't cost too much. Tokyo Bistro is, in my opinion, better than any eatery in Elizabethtown, Lumberton, or Whiteville. There's no competition. Give the place a try. I don't think you'll regret it. ”
